Solar Electric Car

An electric car with built in Solar electric panels! I think i'm in love! Just imagine, pulling your car into your garage and plugging in to your outlet. I paid $3.30 a gallon on the way into work, I would much rather be paying nothing and powering my car with solar energy.

Climate change legislation

Just in case you haven't been watching here's a quick update on the progress of the major climate change legislation currently being voted on. The main focus of the legislation is to reduce the carbon emissions in the united states. As it stands its going to be very close to passing.

LADWP rates on the rise!

Below is an excerpt from a conversation with an LADWP insider.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has recently restructured the electric rates. The restructured electric rates are effective September 19, 2008 for some rate schedules and July 1, 2009 for most rate schedules. It will be revenue neutral for each customer class. Please click on the following link to review the electric rate restructuring ordinance.

It's not to much of a surprise though, if you've been following the news. Electric rates are forecast to continue to rise into the future. If only there was a way to fight back against the utilities and produce your own power at a set rate... Go SOLAR!
